The poetic lawgiver, unlike the polis lawfounder,
Is rarely to be encountered 
But thou leaping’ n historical state.
The poet of poets, the versifier of failing, 
Is not the only poet lo- as we have. Rather
We can only lean as poets, thereof in 
Our own deed thus we are longing-free.
The pride of being a poetic can only be that no 
One, in erring, errs utterly—
That any one, in following out the digressive 
Path that is life itself, incarnates to happen upon truth.
